Force Continuum in my words: This is like going up somewhere where there is most likely going to be a crime, and by your presence they will most likely stop with what they're doing in order to not get in trouble. If they won't stop you proceed on to level 2. Which is using verbal commands, things like shouting: 'FBI HANDS ABOVE YOUR HEAD' Will mostly do the trick. If they won't listen to you, you can raise your volume but you should not be threatening him. If done correctly the situation will most likely prevent from escalating. Force Level three is Empty Hand control, this is when the suspect has either hit or grabbed the agent or anyone else. There is Soft Empty Hand Techniques and Hard Empty Hand Techniques, the Soft ones are used to prevent a fight by pushing or putting a pressure point on the suspect, this won't cause any damage but it'll stop the fight if done correctly. Hard Empty Hand Techniques are used when once the suspect is becoming aggresive and violent, you will punch, hit or kick him to prevent him from the fight, this could cause a little damage to the suspect. Force Level 4 is the Pepper Spray, nitestick and tazer. This is used when force level 3 doesn't work and the suspect is extremely aggresive, in this case he still has no weapons but he's most likely going to damage an agent or another person. This is also used for suspects who are trying to escape. Force Level 5 which is less lethal is used when no other before stated levels work on the suspect. At this point you're allowed to withdraw your weapon and maybe even shoot at non-lethal areas, this obviously causes harm to the suspect but it wont necesarily kill him. Force level 6 is Deadly Force which is the height of the force continuum. In a scenario like this the agent is to withdraw his weapon and kill the suspect in order to prevent any more harm caused by the suspect. This is used when the suspect is putting lifes in danger or is shooting to the agents himself. The agent is to holster his weapon right after the scenario has finished.
Divisions and what they do: CID: The Criminal Investigative Division, CID is where most of the undercover agents start. This is the main division from the FBI and they monitor all the criminals. They are always and completely undercoved and they're expected to always keep their cover. They are also required to know how to make casefiles. OCU: Organized Crime Unit, OCU is a bit like CID but more advanced, they keep themselves busy with monitoring gangs and crime organisations and if they want they can make casefiles on the gangs by using the information they gathered in the time they were infiltrated in a gang or crime organisation. IA: Internal Affairs, IA's job is to investigate the law enforcement and other government personnel. Their job is to keep eyes on everyone to prevent or even catch corruption inside any law enforcment agency or the government. People in the IA are handpicked and chosen because they show dedication and they have a clean record within the FBI. ACDMY: These are the FBI professors, they educate the probationary agents into the Special Agents and they make sure that the probies know what they're doing. It's an honor to be picked as a professor because it's the most recognized and advanced division in San Andreas.
